The new Orchard Hills School includes grades K-8 and is situated on a 15-acre site. This school includes 45 teaching stations along with classrooms, laboratories, and administration, library, multi-purpose and gymnasium, track and sport fields.

The Downtown Educational Complex project consisted of a new K-5 elementary school, program-based high school, combined child development center, TV station, and a community health facility. The complex is designed to be a CHPS certified project, with the goal of achieving grid neutrality.

Consumnes Oaks Culinary Arts Institue – Elk Grove, CA

Client: Stafford King Weise Architects

Construction Cost: $3.1M

Project Size: 8,602 sq.ft.

The Cosumnes Oaks Culinary Arts facility includes a full service commercial kitchen along with a dining area and classroom space. The facility also includes lab space, dry goods storage, a walk in cooler and freezer, office space and locker room with laundry facilities.


La Escuelita Elementary School – Oakland, CA

Construction Cost: $34.97M

Project Size: 71,691 sq.ft.

La Escuelita Elementary School is a part of the Downtown Educational Complex project. The new elementary school includes the smart classroom concept to aid in an effective learning environment. The design included evaporative cooling, photovoltaic energy, thermal mass construction, rainwater aqueduct, day- lighting orientation and displacement ventilation.
