Saylor Publications - Timeline
1963 - The Lee Saylor Index and the Saylor Current construction Costs and Current Residential Costs were founded and published by Leland Saylor.
1991 - Saylor current construction Costs and the Current Residential Cost publications were separated from Lee Saylor, Incorporated and sold to Stan Strychaz, who formed Saylor Publications, Inc.
1992 - The stocks of Lee Saylor, Incorporated, owned by Lee Saylor, (93% - 155,750 shares) including all remaining assets, were transferred to Daniel Doud. All rights and intellectual properties for the Lee Saylor Index were specifically named and included in the acquisition of Daniel Doud.
1993 - Daniel Doud assigned and transferred all rights to the Lee Saylor Index to Mary E. Wallers. She has continued to produce and publish the Lee Saylor Index for 20 years, changing the name to the LSI Index in 2007.
1996 - Mary Wallers, President of Sierra West Group, was made an Associate Editor on all the Saylor Publications' manuals.
2003 - John Moreno, Vice President of Sierra West Group, was made an Associate Editor on all the Saylor Publications' manuals.
July 2010 - Stan Strychaz, the owner of Saylor Publications, Inc. and Editor in Chief, was killed in an automobile accident in Colorado. The books were not published for 2011.
October 2011 - Ownership of Saylor Publications, Inc. was acquired by Sierra West Group, LLC of Sacramento, California.
October 2011 - Mary Wallers, assumed the position of Editor in Chief of the annual Current Construction Cost Manual and also the Residential Construction Cost Manual.
